A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at the District Office on March 13, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., led by the Pledge of Allegiance.  The meeting was called to order by the President of the Board, Bob Lewis at 8:00 a.m.

Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.

Members Present: Bob Lewis, Gary Velder, Penny Oedekoven, Judy Heisler, Richard Harmon, Mike Wolff, and Dallas Conner.  

Motion by Richard Harmon, second by Judy Heisler to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.

The Minutes of the regular February 14, 2024, and special February 29, 2024, meetings were presented and approved on a motion by Judy Heisler, second by Gary Velder.  Motion carried. 

The Treasurer’s Report and bills were approved on a motion by Gary Velder, second Richard Harmon.  Motion carried.

Old Business:

• Well Update – Mike Wolff gave an update on the Well Bid.  Contract has not been signed and returned.  A meeting is tentatively scheduled for March 19 if further action is required.  Dallas update the board by email.

New Business:

• Fence on Snoma Rd Well Property – Discussion on fencing the property was held.  Mike contact Jim McCoy on gate placement and when he will be turning in cattle so a timeframe can be setup for completion.

Office Manager Report:

• Board room will be painted soon. 
• Loan for the new well closed on February 29.

Manager Report:

• Fixed lead on Sagebrush and replaced the curb stop.
•  Jason waiting to finish the Junction redesign.  State hasn’t supplied final specifications.
• Subdivision by Belle Fourche has been approved and they will be putting in 7 additional lots.  4” C900 will be installed.  This will be paid for by the landowner.
• Turbiville Electric in Belle Fourche fixed the motor for the Vale Well.  It will be picked up and installed soon.
• Jarvis Follette property is going to auction.  There have been several inquiries on the water service/availability.
