A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at the District Office on March 20, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. The meeting was called to order by the President of the Board, Bob Lewis at 8:00 a.m.

Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.

Members Present: Bob Lewis, Penny Oedekoven, Gary Velder, Judy Heisler, Richard Harmon, Mike Wolff, and Dallas Conner. Also present was Jason Pettyjohn from FMG Engineering.

Motion by Penny Oedekoven, second by Gary Velder to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion by Judy Heisler, second by Gary Velder, to declare MJ Drilling in default of award for failing to return contracts and bonds within the stipulated timeframe. Motion carried.

Motion by Judy Heisler, second by Gary Velder to award the Well Bid to the second lowest bidder, Water Systems Drilling in the amount of $1,185715.00 pending approval by DANR. The other bid received was from Earth Energy & Water Systems in the amount of $1,309,100.00. Motion carried. 

Motion by Judy Heisler, second by Gary Velder to preclude MJ Drilling from future bid opportunities with Butte-Meade Sanitary Water for 10 years. Motion carried.

Motion by Judy Heisler, second Richard Harmon, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 a.m.
