November 12, 2025
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at the District Office on November 12, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., led by the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by the Vice President of the Board, Penny Oedekoven at 8:00 a.m.
Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.
Members Present: Penny Oedekoven, Richard Harmon, Judy Heisler Mike Wolff, Todd Williamson and Dallas Conner.
Motion by Judy Heisler, second by Richard Harmon to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
The Minutes of the regular October 8, 2025, meeting was presented and approved on a motion by Judy Heisler, second by Richard Harmon. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Report and bills were approved on a motion by Richard Harmon, second Judy Heisler. Motion carried.
Old Business:
- Well Update –
- Employee Handbook – Dallas Conner presented recommended changes to the employee handbook, the board agreed. Dallas will have the handbook updated for approval.
New Business:
- Motion by Judy Heisler to enter executive session at 8:02, seconded by Richard Harmon. Board left executive session at 8:29.
- Christmas Party – The board and employees will have the annual Christmas Party on December 19. Dallas Conner will check with the NVN Center to see if it is available.
- Vale Ag Fair – Butte-Meade Water will have a booth at the Vale Ag Fair on January 7, 2026.
- Parade of Lights – Butte-Meade Water will have an entry in the Newell Parade of Lights on December 12.
Office Manager Report:
- Todd moved his office up front to the extra desk.
- Butte-Meade participated in the Vale Trunk or Treat and Newell Harvest Festival. Around 120 kids received goody bags.
Manager Report:
- Insurance renewed in November, there were a lot of updates to the policy due to industry standards. Mike Wolff & Dallas Conner handled the updates.
- Viken Road water samples came back good, will need to trench across the road to finish the connections.
- Skid steer is fixed and has no leaks.
- Waivers for sampling are approved by the state.
- Vale pump is still being fixed, hopefully done in the next month.
- Samsara will be obsolete 12/31/2025. Mike is looking into a new Scada system.
Motion by Judy Heisler, seconded by Richard Harmon, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 am.
