A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at the District Office on June 12, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., led by the Pledge of Allegiance.  The meeting was called to order by the President of the Board, Bob Lewis at 8:00 a.m.

Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.

Members Present: Bob Lewis, Gary Velder, Penny Oedekoven, Judy Heisler, Richard Harmon, Mike Wolff, Dallas Conner and Todd Williamson.  

Motion by Gary Velder, second by Penny Oedekoven to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.

The Minutes of the regular May 8, 2024, meeting was presented and approved on a motion by Richard Harmon, second by Penny Oedekoven.  Motion carried. 

The Treasurer’s Report and bills were approved on a motion by Gar Velder, second Richard Harmon.  Motion carried.

Old Business:

• Well Update – Drilling rig is up & mud pit is dug.  Should start drilling this week.

New Business:

• Second reading of Ordinance No 1-2024 – An ordinance amending Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District Ordinance No 1-2023 – Water Rates. 
• Billing Clerk Position – Board agreed to publishing job opening and giving Dallas Conner the ability to fill the position.

Office Manager Report:

• Landscaping –  Only one bid came in for the landscaping project.  John Nadig will be notified to start the project.

Manager Report:

• The motor has been set at Vale, need to pull the pump.
• AC is acting up at the Vale Well, Mike will look into replacing.
• CLA Valve at Bean Well needs new controls.
• Main break near Luigi’s was repaired.
• Mike is talking with Bear Butte Water about tying into their system as an additional water source.  
• Weston Engineering is putting the pump back in the Reid Well.

Motion by Penny Oedekoven, second Judy Heisler, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 am.
