August 14, 2024
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at the District Office on August 14, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., led by the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by the President of the Board, Bob Lewis at 8:00 a.m.
Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.
Members Present: Bob Lewis, Gary Velder, Penny Oedekoven, Judy Heisler, Richard Harmon, Mike Wolff, Dallas Conner and Todd Williamson.
Motion by Gary Velder, second by Judy Heisler to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
The Minutes of the regular July 10, 2024, meeting was presented and approved on a motion by Penny Oedekoven, second by Richard Harmon. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s Report and bills were approved on a motion by Gary Velder, second Richard Harmon. Motion carried.
Old Business:
- Well Update – Drilled into the Madison & have grouted from the Madison up. Total depth will be closer to 3600’
New Business:
- 2025 Wages – Board was presented proposed 2025 wages.
- 2025 Budget – Board was presented proposed 2025 Budget.
- Western Dakota Regional Water System Annual Meeting – The WDRWS Annual Meeting is September 5 in Box Elder. Anyone wishing to attend please let Dallas know and she will RSVP.
Office Manager Report:
- Board of Director Training is November in Pierre. More information will be available soon. This training is geared towards governing boards.
- BMSWD will be in the Labor Day Parade on September 2.
Manager Report:
- Parts have been ordered for the Chlorinator.
- Fixed several leaks in July & August.
- Manually ran the Reid Well to keep up with demand.
- DOT Permit for the Junction has been applied for.
- New service added in Arpan. Several more to do this fall.
Motion by Bob Lewis, second Penny Oedekoven, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 am.
